What is your return and refund policy?
Because all grillz from Dr Grillz are custom-made for your teeth and style, we do not offer refunds or returns for a change of mind after production begins.
You may be eligible for a partial refund if:
- The grillz haven’t yet been made.
- If you cancel within 2–3 days and the DIY mould kit hasn’t been posted, we can offer up to an 80% refund.
- If the mould kit has been posted, we offer a 50% refund, as this covers postage and materials.
We’re committed to customer satisfaction and offer a Perfect Fit Guarantee—if your grillz don’t fit due to a manufacturing issue, we’ll remake them at no cost to you.

Are refunds offered on custom grillz?
Once your custom grillz have been made, they are non-refundable, as each piece is handcrafted from your unique dental impression and cannot be resold.
However, if your order is cancelled before production:
- You may receive an 80% refund if your mould kit hasn’t been sent and you cancel within 2–3 days.
- A 50% refund is available if the mould kit has already shipped.
We also provide a Perfect Fit Guarantee. If the fit is off due to a production error (not the mould), we’ll remake your grillz at no charge.
What if my grillz don't fit properly?
We offer a Perfect Fit Guarantee. If your grillz don’t fit due to a manufacturing issue, not a moulding error, we’ll remake them at no cost, including:
- All labour and materials
- Postage for the remake
Keep in mind:
- Some tooth shapes require more adjustment to achieve an optimal fit.
- Complex cases may need back-and-forth to get everything right. Our team will support you throughout.
- Each kit includes extra putty and trays in case you need to retake your mould.
We also offer a 1-year warranty on all removable grillz and a 2-year warranty for permanent options, covering workmanship faults.
Shipping Policy
When will my order ship?
Once your payment is received, we will send out your DIY moulding kit using Australia Post Express. You’ll also receive a link to moulding instructions.
After you send back your completed mould:
- We’ll start crafting your custom grillz.
- Most pieces are completed and shipped within 2–3 weeks.
- If your design includes diamonds, multiple teeth, or other custom features, it may take a little longer to complete. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process.
Where do you ship from?
We’re based in Perth, Western Australia. We ship all orders, including mould kits and finished grillz, from here using Australia Post Express.
For an additional fee, we can arrange same-day Uber delivery if you’re in Perth and need something urgently.
How much is shipping within Australia?
Your order includes standard shipping via Australia Post Express.
Included in your purchase:
- Shipping of your mould kit to you
- Return the express satchel to send back your mould.
- Final delivery of your finished grillz
For urgent requests:
- Same-day Uber delivery (available in Perth only) or overnight courier (Australia-wide) is available at an additional cost. Please contact us directly if you require this option.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Dr Grillz offers worldwide shipping, including to New York, London, Tokyo, and other major cities. All international orders are sent in secure, insured packaging to protect your custom piece. Customs or duties may apply depending on your country.
If you’re outside Australia or New Zealand, contact us at info@drgrillz.com to discuss the most efficient way to create and deliver your custom grillz.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
If your mould kit or finished grillz arrive damaged, please contact us immediately.
Steps to follow:
- Email info@drgrillz.com within 48 hours of receiving your item.
- Include photos of the damage and your order number.
- We’ll assess the issue and let you know the next steps. If the damage occurred in transit, we’ll replace your kit or remake your grillz at no cost to you.
We aim to make the process hassle-free and keep things moving quickly so you’re not left waiting.
Modifying Orders
Can I change or cancel my order?
You can request a change or cancellation immediately after placing your order; however, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your grillz go into production or your mould kit has been shipped, cancellation is no longer possible.
If you’re eligible for cancellation:
- A partial refund may be available.
- Stripe payment processing fees will be deducted.
- If your DIY mould kit has already been sent, $50 will be subtracted to cover postage and materials.

I entered the wrong address — can I update it?
Yes—if your order hasn’t shipped yet, just reach out and we’ll update the address.
If the mould kit has already been posted, we may need to wait until it is returned or issue a replacement (additional shipping charges may apply).
To avoid delays, please double-check your shipping details before confirming your order.
Can I modify the design after placing the order?
If your grillz haven’t entered production, we can usually accommodate small design changes. However:
- Please email us your request quickly at info@drgrillz.com.
- Include clear details or sketches of the changes.
For more complex custom pieces, we may need to pause work and reconfirm pricing and production time based on your updated design.
Because every grill is handcrafted, changes made late in the process may not be possible or could delay completion.
Payment Methods
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a wide range of secure payment options, including the following:
- Major credit and debit cards
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Afterpay (for customers in Australia and New Zealand)
- Bank transfer
All payments are securely processed, and you’ll receive an order confirmation once complete.
Do you offer buy now, pay later options?
Yes—we offer Afterpay as a flexible payment option to spread the cost over time.
With Afterpay:
- Your total is split into four equal instalments.
- Payments are made every two weeks.
- Available for customers in Australia and New Zealand
- Maximum order value: AUD 2,000
It’s a convenient option if you’d like to budget your custom grillz purchase.
Can I pay a deposit and settle the balance at a later time?
We don’t currently offer deposit-based payments for standard orders, but flexible payment options are available depending on the nature of your order.
We offer:
- Afterpay for eligible orders up to AUD 2,000
- Payment plans on request for larger or custom projects
- Finance options for dental-related work, including tooth restoration treatments
For qualifying cases, we also offer financing up to $120,000 through Dossh Finance, which may be suitable for complex or high-value custom work.

Grillz
How long do the grillz last?
With proper care, your grillz can last for many years. Our solid gold and silver pieces are handcrafted for durability, and diamonds are securely handset.
Just like fine jewellery, they should be:
- Worn with care (avoid dropping, biting, or rough handling)
- Removed before eating, sleeping, or playing contact sports
We offer:
- 1-year warranty on all removable grillz
- 2-year warranty on permanent grillz
If your grillz become bent or damaged, we can usually refit or reshape them starting from $50. If there’s severe deformation or cracking, a full remake may be needed—just contact our team, and we’ll provide a quote.
How do your grillz work? Are they removable?
Yes, all our standard grillz are removable. They’re designed to fit snugly over your natural teeth using a custom mould. There’s no drilling, gluing, or dental work required. You simply press them onto your teeth and take them off when you’re done.
We also offer permanent options (by appointment), which involve dental work and bonding. Contact us if you’re interested in that route.
Do you need to get a mould done by the dentist?
No, our DIY kit includes everything you need to take your mould home, and it’s included with every order.
However, for a more accurate fit, we recommend the following:
- Visiting your local dentist for a professional clean
- Asking them to take the moulds for you if they’re willing
This can help achieve a more secure and comfortable result, especially if your teeth have deep grooves or alignment challenges.
Can you get a grill if you have a gap?
Yes, you can still get a grill if you have a gap between your teeth.
Depending on your design, the grillz can:
- Be made to sit over the teeth while allowing the gap to remain visible
- Be shaped to partially or fully cover the space (if that’s your preference)
Just let us know during the design process, or upload a sketch or photo when placing your custom order.
Do you need straight teeth to get a grill?
Not at all.
We make grillz to suit your tooth shape, even if your teeth are crooked or uneven. In some cases, crooked teeth may require:
- Extra time during production
- Adjustments to the design for secure fit and comfort
We’ll work from your mould to handcraft a piece that fits your natural smile, regardless of your alignment.
Can you get a grill with missing teeth?
Yes—depending on which teeth are missing and how many.
Here’s how it works:
- If you’re missing a back tooth or one that isn’t part of the design, it usually won’t be a problem.
- If a tooth is missing in the area you want the grill to cover, we may be able to create a piece that includes a placeholder or fills the space.
We’ll need to assess your mould before confirming what’s possible. In some cases, minor adhesive may help the grill stay secure if it’s missing natural support.
Can I eat while wearing my grillz?
We don’t recommend eating while wearing your grillz.
Although they’re built to last, grillz are not made for chewing or biting. Eating with them could:
- Damage the grillz or your natural teeth
- Loosen the fit over time
- Trap food between the grill and your teeth, which may affect your oral hygiene
To help keep your grillz in good shape and protect your teeth, it’s important to remove them before meals.
Are grillz bad for your teeth?
When worn occasionally and properly cared for, grillz should not cause harm to your teeth.
That said, here are some important tips:
- Always clean your teeth before wearing your grillz.
- Remove them before eating or sleeping.
- Store them in a clean, dry container.
Additionally, we’ll never create a grill that could harm your teeth or gums. If your teeth aren’t suitable for a certain style or design, we’ll let you know during the customisation process.
Tip: Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits are still essential, even if you only wear your grillz occasionally.
Can I wear grillz with braces?
We generally don’t recommend wearing grillz over braces.
Here’s why:
- Braces change the position of your teeth over time, making it difficult to get a secure fit.
- Wearing grillz over braces can put pressure on your orthodontic appliances, potentially causing damage.
If you’re currently wearing braces and interested in grillz, we suggest waiting until your orthodontic treatment is complete. Then, we can create a custom design that fits your new smile.
